New appointments
Jess Maunder, former advertising consultancy director at Merkle, joined Kinase in the new role of Consultancy Director. Jess will focus on driving consultancy and programmatic at Kinase, building up new teams and services. As one of the founding members of the programmatic team at Merkle (formerly Periscopix) in 2013, Jess supported the successful growth of the department which was awarded ‘Best Digital Trading Team’ by the Drum. Having also enjoyed a stint at Jellyfish, she joined with plenty of experience and fresh ideas.
Read Jess’ account of her first six months at Kinase - what it’s really like from the inside.
New trainees across Search, Social, YouTube and Marketplaces also started in September, with two new intakes starting in February and March 2022 which will take us to over 100 staff.
We have also welcomed two new account directors, both bringing a wealth of industry experience to Kinase. Birva Solanki has joined us after a decade at John Lewis, transforming and growing SEO strategy and then the in-house paid search team. At Kinase she will be helping us to drive forward our expertise with fresh ideas. Joining to direct a team within our Paid Social department, Joaquim Salgueiro brings his agency-side performance-focused experience at MediaCom International and OMD EMEA to new challenges and new ways to grow the ‘Kinase factor’.
The Secret Digital Veteran
We launched a new column dedicated to the opinions of ‘The Secret Digital Veteran’ - a digital marketing pro frustrated by the things that hold the industry back. They have proved our most popular posts yet.
So far he has given us his iconoclastic views on the real meaning of Google’s match types and on whether automation is always good.
How To Guides
We launched a new series of digital How To Guides on our Briefings blog. They are written by Kinase experts from across the agency. So far we have covered the essentials of TikTok strategy, ad copy, how to interpret Google Trends data, Shopping feeds, Success with Ad Copy, Excel tips and more.
Let us know if there are topics you’d be interested in seeing covered here hello@kinase.co.uk.
What's it like working in digital?
